Former Loves Park, Ill. city councilman Dick Kulpa has the distinction of being the only political cartoonist who HIMSELF was a politician!

From 1977 to 1984, Kulpa's name appeared in the newspapers not only for serving his constituents, but as a byline for the editorial cartoon on the OpEd pages of the Loves Park Post and Belvidere Daily Republican.
