Ghost Story Club (GSC) was a nationally
syndicated comic strip distributed by Tribune Media Services, Inc.
It was written by Allan Zullo and illustrated by Dick Kulpa and appeared
in major newspapers nationally and internationally from 1996-1998.
Though targeted to an audience aged 8-15, the spooky stories and four young lead characters appealed to both children and adults. The writing and art relied on cleverness and imagination, instead of blood, guts and gore. GSC presented a single story each week and concluded each Sunday with the young reader having learned a valuable lesson about life and growing up. Dick created a special two-week storyline for the strip in 1998, which featured an exciting adventure between the four GSC kids and Weekly World News Bat Boy character. This story proved to be one of the comic's most popular. For your reading pleasure, we present to you the story -- in its entirety. Enjoy! |
